We received our first trailer and official look at Obi-Wan Kenobi’s upcoming Disney+ series earlier this week. Fans are excited. The six-part series will premiere on 25 May. It will feature Ewan McGregor as the title role and set after the events in Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith.

As you can see, we have seen very little of the series, and people are wondering if there will be a second season. It’s the fans who are asking about it and the top executives. When asked their opinions, Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, and Deborah Chow (director, Obi-Wan Kenobi), were interviewed by Entertainment Weekly.

Chow explained that Obi-Wan was created to tell the entire story in six episodes. It was not supposed to drag it out any longer. She said, “It was clearly conceived as a restricted series, and it’s one big story with an end, middle and beginning.” “It is one complete story has been the approach.”

Kennedy believes it can still happen, but only if there is a reason. We will always talk about it because everyone was so united and had a fantastic time. Ewan [McGregor] had a wonderful time. Hayden [Christensen] had a fantastic time. She explained that everyone involved would have loved to see it continue. “But, we need to spend our time asking why we would do it. We would have to answer “Why?” if we decided to do more with Obi-Wan’s character.

The show will be popular enough to warrant a second season. We’ll have wait to see if Obi-Wan can find an excuse to get more screen time. As if more Ewan McGregor’s action wasn’t enough.
