Ricochet Claims Warzone Cheating Is at “All-time Low”
Cheating in Warzone has been around for a while. Players are now using third-party software to try and gain an unfair advantage in a battle royale, which was launched in March 2020.
The Ricochet Anti-cheat launched. Activision also launched the Caldera Map.
Season 2 is progressing amid claims that cheaters are increasing. The team behind the anti-cheat provided an update, revealing that levels of cheating within Warzone have dropped to an “all time low.”
Warzone Ricochet Update
Team Ricochet published a blog on February 18 and stated that there had been a significant drop in-cheat reporting. This was much to the delights of the community, who are finally seeing action taken. The team also confirmed that cheaters won’t cause any damage during matches.
Activision seems happy with the development, but many players quickly criticized the anti-cheat failure to stop hackers ruining matches.
Ricochet’s efforts have been a success in fighting cheaters. However, Ricochet still has a lot of work to do in order to stop cheating at the same level as Verdansk.
Will Ricochet Stop Warzone Cheaters?
Ricochet has made an impact on Warzone’s cheaters, although it is difficult to eliminate all of them. The number of cheaters in Warzone will decrease as more anti-cheat updates are made. Warzone will be relatively free from cheaters for anyone who drops into Caldera or Rebirth Island.
