FFXIV will soon resume automatic demolition of housing

Final Fantasy XIV halted its automatic demolition policy on inactive estates when Endwalker was launched. It’s coming back into effect on March 9 at midnight PT.

When the policy is reinstated, players who have entered their estate more than once will see their auto-demolition clock reset. The timer will restart from the beginning if the player has not entered their estate in the past six months.

If they do not enter their estate for a prolonged time, those who own an estate in FFXIV‘s players’ housing system may have their lot removed. If the lot is a private lot or a member of a Free Company, this period is 45 days.

If the account has not been contacted by FFXIV within ten days, an email will be sent. If you do not enter the estate within 30 days, an in-game notification will be sent along with a countdown timer.

Square Enix put the policy on hold due to some server problems and players not being able to log in after the launch of Endwalker. Square Enix did this before, too. In March 2020, FFXIV housing destruction was stopped.

The FFXIV housing market is wild, with high demand and limited supply. This is why the policy was created. The upcoming Ishgardian Housing District and changes to lot acquisition through a new lottery system will likely alleviate some of these problems. It’s almost like people trying to get a PS5 here or sneakerheads trying to buy Yeezys.

Another FFXIV news is that it has been confirmed we will be getting a new Deep Dungeon (like Palace of the Dead or Heaven-on-High). This will happen during the Endwalker6.x patch cycles. Check out these fan artworks and creations displayed at the Korean FanFest. You can also look forward to a new live letter on Friday, February 18, in which the FFXIV team addresses the next 10 years and answers your Endwalkerquestions.
