FFXIV Endwalker – Smileton and Stigma Dreamscape are Two Amazing Post-Game Dungeons That You Should Try
After you have completed the main scenario quest for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, you will feel a surge of emotion. You’ll find it overwhelming, and the final leg of the questline will push you to a dramatic end. You’re not done just because the expansion has an ending, however.
After you have finished the main story, there are two optional post-game Dungeons. They are incredibly designed and feature boss fights and their own stories. Their theme songs are a surprise to no one. These songs are also worth looking for to grind the gear at the endgame. Here’s how you unlock Smileton, The Stigma Dreamscape and some reasons why you should use them.
This minor spoiler warning — don’t look at it until you’ve completed Endwalker.
How to unlock smile on
To begin, complete the Endwalker main questline. Once you have completed the quest, you will obtain a new quest from Old Sharlayan entitled “Cutting the Cheese.” This quest is located at X: 11.8 and Y: 11.4. Talk to them, then go to Mare Lamentorum ( X: 11.8 and Y: 22.6) and talk to Buildingway, who’s out on the moon’s surface. You now have access to the Smileton dungeon at level 90.
Why Smileton is So Damn Cool
Smile on has many fun features, including twisting staircases and teleporters, which take you through the wild underground facility the Loporrits built for the planned departure to the moon. This dungeon is home to The Big Cheese, an automaton created by the Loporrits to produceatever the moon’s inhabitants required. It needs to be shut down. It’s like a 3D printer. Although the Loporrits are good people, they did a terrible job with this one.
It’s a beautiful, upbeat jazz tune called the dungeon’s theme song. It’s called “Carrots of Happiness,” and it’s quite lovely on its own. It matches the chaos of the Loporrits running around panicking in the dungeon. Smile on reminds me a lot of the Great Gubal Library. However, this dungeon is level 90, and it presents a new challenge with tough bosses such as Framework, Face, and even The Big Cheese. You will have to deal with some very tough boss mechanics, so keep an eye out for our forthcoming Smileton dungeon guide.
How to Unlock the Stigma Dreamscape
This is a post-game area, so complete the Endwalker main questline. A new quest, “Where No Loporrit has Gone Before,” will be available at Alt Sharlayan from the NPC Jammingway (located at X: 11.0 and Y: 13.8). To meet Jammingway in Labyrinthos, you’ll need to first go to Thaumazein in Labyrinthos. Then go to Base Omicron to Ultima Thule to have some dialogue. You now have access to The Stigma Dreamscape, a level 90 dungeon.
