Milogost Reczek, the ‘The Witcher 3:’ Vesemir actor, has died.
Milogost Reczek, a voiceover and dubbing actor, best known for his role as Vesemir in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, has passed away. He was 60 years of age.
Polish outlet TVN24 reports that the actor, who was born in Wroclaw, had been fighting cancer for many years. On December 14, he died.
Reczek was a “legend” in the Polish voiceover scene, according to colleagues and fans. He voiced many iconic characters for several Polish dubs. Although he was Geralt’s mentor and friend in The Witcher 3, he also voiced the roles of Obi Wan Kan Kenobi, Molag bal, and even Homer Simpson.
“Our friend, Milogost Reczek was a great man with an outstanding voice. He died this morning. “Dear Darling, you’ll always be in our hearts forever,” audiobook company Storytel wrote in a Facebook tribute.
Reczek was also a respected actor in radio and theatre. Reczek worked closely for more than 20 years with the Polish Theater in Wroclaw, where he was a part of many critically acclaimed productions. He moved to Warsaw in 2004 and worked for several years with the Dramatic Theater.
