There is no co-op available in The Last Stand: Aftermath. This is a one-player game where you can explore, rescue, and then die. This last bit is intentional.
Due to the game’s roguelite nature players will be able to cycle through different zombie survivors as they die from the virus. You will be playing as a different survivor each time you die. Each run is random.
This hook would not work well in co-op. The Last Stand: Aftermath balances to have you constantly scrimping for resources. There are also many zombies to add to the tension. It is possible for things to get a little more complicated if you add another player.
Although The Last Stand: Aftermath can still be enjoyed solo, it is worth considering. It could also be one of 2021’s best-sellers.
