Bungie’s dev team regularly updates Destiny 2 as with all live-service games. Sometimes, it’s just a quick fix to fix a quest. Other times, it’s about tweaking drop rates or occasionally, the game requires a major update to nerf Jotunn.

9 November 2021 –
Bungie has confirmed that Hotfix 3.3.1.3 will be released later today at 5 AM PST (1300 GMT). Destiny 2 will be under maintenance. Players will be removed at 5:45 AM (1345 GMT) and will not be able to log back until 9 AM (1600 GMT).
The new update should be deployed following this (alongside the new Weekly reset). Hotfix 3.3.1.3 is not yet available as a patch.
8 November 2021 –
Destiny 2 will be under background maintenance later today, November 8, at 10:00 AM PST (1800 GMT). It is not expected that the server will be down. Bungie will be ready for Hotfix 3.3.1.3, which is expected to be released on November 9. This hotfix is not yet available.
5 November 2021 –
Bungie announced on the TWAB blogpost that Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance to prepare for Destiny 2 Hotfix 3.3.1.3. Here is a list of events. This maintenance period is subject to change.
- Maintenance will start at 5 AM Pacific (1300 UTC).
- 5:45 PM Pacific (1133 UTC): Players will be withdrawn from all activities. Destiny 2 will be taken offline.
- 9 AM Pacific (1700 UTC). Hotfix 3.3.1.3 will now be available on all platforms and in all regions. Destiny 2 will allow players to log in again.
- 10 AM Pacific (1300 UTC): Destiny 2 maintenance will be completed.
