Apple Agrees To $500 Million Settlement For Throttling Older IPhones

Apple has agreed to a $500 million payoff later acknowledging to slowing older phones.

The settlement was first filed in a California court and is currently awaiting court approval.

The payoff has a payout of $310 million, or so the payment may rise if claims report.

The situation stems from Apple’s Batterygate controversy.

In 2017, iPhone users found that iOS unnaturally restricted processor speeds as mobile batteries obsolete.
