HBO’s Silicon Valley will end with its sixth Season

The season will be seven episodes and air later this year

HBO’s biting technology industry satire Silicon Valley is coming to a end with its sixth season slated to air later this season, according to Variety.

The show follows the battles and Secure financing occasional successes of a bunch of startup workers hoping to maneuver the world of technology, and beat out products in the soulless companies hoping to crush them. It’s aired since April of 2014, and it had been conceived by Beavis and Butt-Head creator and King of the Hill co-creator Mike Judge, a former computer programmer who executive produces it alongside Seinfeld alum and Barry co-creator Alec Berg.

Silicon Valley centers on main character Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch , a software engineer that happens to devise a new type of file compression which leads him and his fellow startup workers, Gilfoyle (Martin Starr and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani), on a trip toward trying to make a paradigm-shifting new product they describe as a”new net.” Comedian TJ Miller was also a primary cast member since the washed-up entrepreneur Erlich Bachman, until he was written off the show at the conclusion of season 4.
