Phasmophobia Releases May 2025 Update With Key Fixes and Improvements

Kinetic Games has released a new update for *Phasmophobia* this May, focusing on bug fixes and gameplay improvements following the launch of the Cursed Hollow event. The patch, version 0.12.1.1, doesn’t bring major new content but aims to smooth out several issues players have reported recently.

Key changes include preventing players from placing equipment on Jackalope nest eggs and updating the Obake ghost model to allow shapeshifting during seasonal events. These updates help maintain consistency and enhance the event experience.

The patch also fixes several gameplay and UI bugs. Audio now works correctly when opening the Cursed Hollow leaflet, map voting has been improved, and visual problems—like missing terrain textures on the Point Hope map—have been resolved. There’s also a critical fix for VR players: ghosts can now kill them again, restoring the full challenge.

Some controller sensitivity issues introduced with recent deadzone changes have also been addressed. However, players may still experience lighting glitches on some maps while the event is active. The developers are aware and continue to monitor the issue.

With over 3 million console copies sold and more updates on the way, *Phasmophobia* continues to grow. Kinetic Games recently revealed a roadmap for 2025, promising revamped maps and more seasonal events to keep the ghost-hunting fresh.
