A YouTuber, ActualAero, spotted a detail on the Nintendo Switch Virtual Game Card page that references “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games” and “Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive games,” suggesting the existence of enhanced versions for the new console.
This revelation comes after Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa confirmed in November 2024 that backward compatibility would be a feature of the Switch 2.
The mention of “Switch 2 Edition” games implies that certain Switch titles will have upgrade paths for the new system, although these editions will be exclusive to Switch 2 users.
Fans are now speculating that these upgraded versions could feature improvements like enhanced graphics, possibly using the rumored DLSS capabilities of the Switch 2.
