Bayek was acclaimed as the top character from Assassin’s Creed, more so than Ezio
Bayek in the Assassin’s Creed Origins series is praised by fans as the greatest character in the game, closely being followed by Ezio.
It’s true that this could be a difficult pill to take, considering that Ezio Auditore is essentially the persona of the “Assassin’s creed” series that has many “peak” games under his name. It’s an incredibly popular character, and is often thought to be among the best gamers in history and no other character has come near to the same level as him as of yet.
A recent fan of the show, known as Luck_Shot, on Reddit asked the truth about whether “Origins and Odyssey are as tedious and repetitive as Valhalla.” The series is collectively referred to as”the RPG Trilogy, it’s generally claimed it’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is unfortunately the most frustrating game of the entire series. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is pretty decent, if not too bloated. Assassin’s Creed Origins is the most enjoyable.
The responses to the posting were in support of this idea, but the post triggered a different thread that claimed the main character of The Assassin’s creed Origins, Bayek, is the most memorable character of the entire series.
Abyss_Renzo started the discussion with a statement “What distinguishes this game than Odyssey or Valhalla is the fact that it has a well-established protagonist in the form of Bayek. Bayek will be there from start to end.”
Many agreed. While some considered Ezio an even close second although not quite as good most believed Bayek could be just a less appealing, both in character and narrative.
One wrote “Bayek was a great assassin protagonist … Best since Ezio in my opinion.”
Another person replied and went deeper by adding “He’s superior to Ezio. Altair is always my top choice. Even though I adore Ezio but I don’t believe that he could be as captivating in the way that other fans were.”
Then someone pointed out what an affront it was that we did not see a sequel of Bayek’s narrative and said “If I were to say best protagonist based on first game only, I’d say it’s pretty close between Ezio and Bayek with the latter slightly coming out on top … It’s criminal that Bayek didn’t get a sequel.”
We’ll be honest: the greatest character in the world can’t be Bayek or Ezio the best is Edward Kenway and I won’t ever be told otherwise.
