Modern Warfare 3 fans want traditional modes in its classic maps
Modern Warfare 3 fans are hopeful that the game will include traditional game modes together with returning old-school maps.
In celebration of 20 years in Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 will be released with sixteen multiplayer maps that were unveiled at the time that 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 hit shelves 14 years ago.
Many are looking for such games as Rust and Highrise yet again, a few would like to see Sledgehammer Games continue to take players back to the past. Instead of introducing even additional new game modes in addition to Cutthroat, the fans are beginning to think about whether an old-school game mode will return to the action shooter series from Activision.
To find an answer, user STRoke_Face1 posted on Reddit to ask if certain loved modes from earlier titles will be re-released.
The user writes: “Honestly, some of the best times I had gaming was MW2 Demolition games. I had a blast playing the beta. I really wish they would bring back Demolition. They bought Headquarters back and I was excited for its return. Demolition would be just as big.”
The need for the return Demolition is very high. One fan added: “I’ve said this before but if they truly can’t get the spawns right, I’d rather play Demolition.”
Alongside Demolition In addition to Demolition, there is a demand for different old-school game modes in addition to the standard inclusions such as Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy as well and Free for All. One participant believes that: “They [Sledgehammer Games] should bring back Sabotage. I loved playing that game mode on the OG MW2.”
While it’s not clear if similar to Demolition and Sabotage are coming back with Modern Warfare 3, their appearance is likely to be popular with gamers looking for alternative options in Domination or Kill Confirmed in order to rise quickly.
If these modes don’t show up when the game starts it’s possible that Sledgehammer Games adds them in the Season 1. update that is sure to include a variety of content that is new for multiplayer.
