A Gamer is “Held hostage” during Stream and gets banned for grieving
After being held hostage by stream snipers for three hours, Kim ‘Kkual” So-Hyun, a South Korean streamer, has been removed from League Of Legends for 14 days.
Dot reports that Kkual was forced to play a Summoner’s Rift game after she fell behind. Her opponents deliberately stretched out the game for hours. Kkual was left with her tormentors by stream-sniping players who were not involved in the match.
You might wonder why Kkual didn’t quit the game when it became obvious what was happening. To avoid an AFK penalty, she decided to remain in the game and ignore League. She also chose to play a side game of FIFA while her stream sniping opponents murdered her repeatedly in Summoner’s Rift.
Kkual was the one who received a 14-day suspension due to “griefing.” She also didn’t have any match history so she couldn’t prove that it was her.
In the hope of reversing this ban, the streamer opened a Riot support ticket. She said that she had two opponents and two members of her team who tried to stop the game’s ending. They refused to surrender. Riot has not yet responded, unfortunately.
