Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Sneak Into ‘Spider-Man’ Screenings Together
So, No Way Home, huh? If the internet is any indication, it appears that people can be divided into two groups: those who have seen the movie at least three times per now and those who are constantly on guard, keeping all key terms muted on twitter kind of people who are still here avoiding spoilers like it’s their life (it’s not me, it’s people). It’s clear that there is no one who doesn’t want to watch it.
It’s not just fans who want to see the movie. Entertainment Tonight interviewed Andrew Garfield about his Spidey character in The Amazing Spider-Man. He revealed that he and TobeyMaguire sneaked into an opening night screening. It’s amazing that no one noticed.
Garfield said that he snuck in to a theatre for the opening night, and he just watched while wearing his baseball cap and mask. “In reality, I was with Tobey. Me and Tobey sneaked into a theatre together, and no one knew. It was a beautiful thing to do together.
The question is, then, are you aware that you may have unknowingly sat beside the couple during the screening? Listen, those viewings were full. There was no way that there would have been empty seats on the opening night. It’s possible. And it was literally given by someone who had the best viewing partners anyone could wish for.
If you haven’t yet seen the movie and aren’t convinced, go to our review. Ewan Moore, our own cinematographer, describes it as “the cinematic equivalent to a hyperactive child tipping all his action figures onto the mattress and smashing them together for several hours.” There is nothing better. Beats me. Do it for me, reader, if for no other reason. Do it for us both. If I can unmute all of Twitter’s messages, then I might finally find peace.
