Atlus Hoping to Release Next Flagship Title in 2022 – Could be Project Re Fantasy
Shinjiro Takada, Atlus’ product manager, recently spoke out about some of the company’s plans in 2022. According to Atlas, they plan to release another major title the next year. Atlus may finally reveal more information about Project Re Fantasy after all these decades.
A Famitsu interview, translated by Persona Central, reveals Takada confirmed that Atlus hopes to release something in 2022. “I chose the keyword “challenge” for 2022 to release a game that will be a pillar for Atlus. Atlus is working hard to make this game interesting and enjoyable for everyone. Please look forward to it. Said Takada.
After this statement, Takada confirmed that he is taking a break from Shin Megami Tensei IV and returning to the next year with this title.
Atlus Plans 2022: Release for Next Flagship Title
Takada was not clear about the title. Atlus has announced that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Remastered will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Project Re Fantasy could be the developers.
Atlus has waited to announce more details about the major project they have assigned Studio Zero since 2017. This game will feature Katsura Hashino as director, Shigenori Soejima as character designer, and Shoji Meguro, music director. These Atlus leaders are all known to have worked together on Persona until Persona 5. Fans can expect big things once Atlus announces the next big title in 2022, hopefully.
