Ubisoft has confirmed that the long-awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will launch between January and March 2026, according to the company’s latest financial report.

Originally announced in 2020, the remake has faced several delays and a complete developer shift. The project was initially handled by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai but was later moved to Ubisoft Montreal, the studio behind the original 2003 game. In June 2024, Ubisoft Toronto also joined the development team.

After being rebuilt from scratch, the game is finally on track, with Ubisoft narrowing the release window to the first quarter of 2026. The report also mentions other upcoming titles expected by the end of FY2025–26, including The Division Resurgence, Rainbow Six Mobile, and Anno 117: Pax Romana.

With the remake now less than a year away, fans may get a new look at the game during Ubisoft Forward—the publisher’s annual showcase—expected to take place in June 2025.

The upcoming remake follows a renewed focus on the Prince of Persia franchise, including The Lost Crown released in January 2024 and The Rogue Prince of Persia, which entered early access in May 2024.
