Hello Kitty Island Adventure Update Arrives Early on Switch with New Area and Features

The latest update for Hello Kitty Island Adventure, titled Friends, Furniture, and Frozen Peaks, has arrived a week early on Nintendo Switch, surprising fans with new content and quality-of-life improvements.

Originally set to launch on May 22, the update went live on May 14 for Switch players, following its April 29 debut on PC. This is the first major content update since the game launched on Switch and PC earlier this year.

Key features include:

  • Improved Friendship System: Gifting is now more rewarding, with better tracking and consistent responses based on gift quality.
  • Furniture Stacking: Players can now place items on top of tables in Edit Mode, unlocking new design possibilities for cabin interiors.
  • New Area – Blizzard Peak & Snow Village: A chilly region with a new storyline, a quirky weather machine, and new puzzles in the Chilly Chambers.
  • Sparkles: A new collectible that appears over time and can be traded for game tickets.
  • Cloud and Extreme Flowers: Special flowers grown with Roseanne and Nina offer unique effects and gardening challenges.
  • New Furniture Set: The floral Merry Meadows set is now available through the Crane Game.
  • Call Friend Feature: Invite characters to join you anywhere on the island using the new Call Friend option.
  • New Characters and Quests: Retsuko’s coworkers, Pekkle and Keroppi’s friends, and Hello Kitty’s grandparents arrive with fresh quests and stories.

Developed by Sunblink Entertainment, Hello Kitty Island Adventure continues to expand with this update, offering more charm, customization, and adventure for players to enjoy.
