Former Rockstar Dev Supports GTA 4 Remaster Amid Rumors
Amid growing speculation about a possible **Grand Theft Auto 4 remaster**, former Rockstar Games technical director **Obbe Vermeij** has voiced his support for the idea. Although **Rockstar Games** hasn’t confirmed anything yet, rumors have sparked excitement among fans eager to see **Niko Bellic** return.
Vermeij, who worked at Rockstar from 1995 to 2009, said on social media that GTA 4’s story deserves a remaster. He noted that “there have been a number of successful remasters recently” and expressed interest in seeing the game brought to **current-gen consoles**.
GTA 4 is widely praised for its deep narrative and memorable protagonist. While players are looking ahead to **GTA 6**, rumored for a 2026 release, the idea of revisiting Liberty City with enhanced visuals and performance has stirred excitement.
