Destiny 2’s The Edge of Fate Expansion Reveal Set for May 6
Bungie is set to reveal major details about **Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Edge of Fate**, during a live stream event on **May 6 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET**. The event will be broadcast on **Bungie’s official Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok channels**.
The Edge of Fate marks the start of **Year 8** for Destiny 2 and continues the **Codename: Frontiers** content plan, which began with The Final Shape in 2024. Players can expect to learn about new gameplay features, activities, and the next power level increase.
The expansion is scheduled to launch in **summer 2025**, and Year 8 is expected to include two major updates, new destinations, raids, dungeons, and reward passes. A second expansion, **Codename: Behemoth**, is also planned for **winter 2025**.
