Subnautica 2 Confirms Cyclops Submarine Won’t Return
*Subnautica 2* will not feature the Cyclops, one of the most iconic vehicles from the original game, as confirmed by Design Lead Anthony Gallegos. The news was shared through the game’s official Discord, where Gallegos stated that none of the original vehicles—including the Cyclops, Seamoth, or Prawn Suit—are planned to return in the upcoming sequel.
Instead, Gallegos teased the possibility of a brand-new large vehicle, though no further details have been revealed. This new addition likely won’t be available at the start of early access and may arrive later in development.
*Subnautica 2* is set on a completely new planet, introducing fresh mechanics, new biomes, and an entirely original ecosystem. One major new feature is genetic modification, allowing players to alter alien DNA to gain unique abilities, adding a fresh layer to survival and exploration.
