Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Exciting New Details About Upcoming Character Skirk
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more details about Skirk, a mysterious character expected to join the game’s roster in a future update. Since her brief appearance in Version 4.2, Skirk has become one of the most anticipated additions, especially as the Natlan region continues to unfold.
With Capitano, the Harbinger tied to Natlan, reportedly not becoming playable anytime soon, fans believe Skirk may take the spotlight instead. A reliable leaker, Dim, recently shared information suggesting she could play a key combat role.
According to the leak, Skirk has a talent called **Reason Beyond Reason**. This ability creates a **Void Rift** whenever a nearby party member triggers certain Elemental Reactions—**Frozen, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Crystallize**—every 2.5 seconds. Up to three rifts can appear at once. When Skirk uses a Charged Attack in a special stance, she absorbs these rifts, triggering a powerful AoE strike. Each rift also grants her a stacking buff called **Serpent’s Subtlety**.
Another ability, **Return to Oblivion**, grants her a buff called **Death’s Crossing** when a **Hydro or Cryo** ally deals Elemental Damage. This buff can stack up to three times and boosts her Normal Attacks and Elemental Burst damage for 18 seconds. The reaction must come from another Cryo character, strongly hinting that Skirk herself will be a **Cryo user**.
Story-wise, Skirk is closely tied to the **Abyss** and is known as Tartaglia’s mentor. She trained him after his fall into the Abyss and is believed to be a disciple of **Surtalogi**, master of the All-Devouring Narwhal. Skirk reportedly lives in a realm where time flows differently, deepening her connection to Genshin’s darker lore.
