Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster Gets First Major Update
Argonaut Games has released the first major update for the *Croc: Legend of the Gobbos* remaster on PC, with console updates for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch coming soon.
Update 1.0.4 brings a wide range of bug fixes and improvements. Key changes include corrected collision issues with spiky balls, better camera angles, restored particle effects, and improved HUD elements like bonus crystals and Gobbo counts. Music track selections now match the original 1997 PlayStation version, and audio issues with ambient sounds have been resolved.
The update also fixes a rendering bug that affected performance on new PC saves and addresses occasional crashes during full-motion video playback on the GOG version.
Platform-specific fixes include:
– **Switch**: Button layouts for Jump, 180° Flip, and Attack have been adjusted to match the original game, based on user feedback.
– **PlayStation 4**: Trophy set icon is no longer cropped.
– **Xbox**: Fixes for the “Crystal Clear” achievement not triggering properly.
– **PC**: Frame rate issues on the ASUS ROG Ally are still under investigation.
*Croc: Legend of the Gobbos* launched on April 2 with several new features, including HD visuals, improved controls, and a digital museum called Crocipedia, showcasing rare development assets. Update 1.0.4 is now live on GOG, with other platforms to follow shortly.
