Riot Co-Founder Says Arcane Skins Unlikely to Return to Fortnite Anytime Soon
Fortnite fans hoping for the return of Arcane’s Jinx and Vi skins may be out of luck. Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill recently shared on Twitter that the popular *Arcane* crossover cosmetics are unlikely to come back to Fortnite “in the foreseeable future.”
Merrill praised Epic Games as a great partner but explained that both companies couldn’t find the “right fit” for a return collaboration. He noted that Fortnite has changed significantly since their last team-up, and while he didn’t rule out a future return entirely, he emphasized that no plans are currently in motion. He added that he would update fans if anything changes.
The timing has confused many fans, who expected a re-release to coincide with the upcoming *Arcane* Season 2. Players also pointed out that other crossover skins, like John Wick, often return without major tie-in events. Some speculate that financial disagreements may have stalled the deal, though no official reason was given.
Meanwhile, Fortnite continues to roll out collaborations, including recent additions from *Adventure Time*. However, some fans have voiced frustration over pricing, as cosmetic bundles were split into separate purchases, making full sets more expensive than usual.
As Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 wraps up, attention now turns to a rumored Star Wars-themed season, with details expected at Star Wars Celebration Japan.
