Monopoly GO Launching Star Wars Crossover Event on May 1
Monopoly GO is teaming up with the Star Wars franchise for a new limited-time crossover event, set to run from May 1 to June 2. Scopely announced the collaboration in a blog post, promising iconic characters, themed challenges, and exclusive collectibles.
Players can expect to see fan-favorite characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Yoda, Han Solo, Rey, and more featured in stickers, mini-games, and in-game activities. Themed locations such as Tatooine and the Mos Espa Grand Arena will also be introduced, along with special “battles” between Jedi and Sith.
The event follows the success of Monopoly GO’s Marvel crossover last year, which significantly boosted the game’s revenue. Scopely appears to be building on that momentum with one of its most ambitious events yet.
The collaboration was revealed during Star Wars Celebration Japan, where a trailer introduced the story behind the event—taking place in PEG-E’s dream, where she imagines joining the Star Wars universe with her friends.
With Monopoly GO already one of the top mobile games worldwide, the Star Wars event is expected to be another major hit.
