It’s Been 500 Days Since the First GTA 6 Trailer, and Fans Are Still Waiting

As of April 17, 2025, it has officially been **500 days** since Rockstar Games released the first and only trailer for *Grand Theft Auto 6*. The trailer debuted on December 4, 2023, and since then, fans have received no new updates, screenshots, or a second trailer.

Despite the silence, *GTA 5* remains active, thanks to a new enhanced PC version that includes ray tracing, support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS, faster loading, and improved visuals. However, many fans are eager to move on and see what’s next for the series.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently addressed the long wait, saying the excitement surrounding *GTA 6* is unlike anything he’s seen before. He explained that Rockstar plans to keep the hype going by releasing marketing materials closer to launch — hinting that new info may not arrive until late summer or fall.

*GTA 6* is still expected to launch in **Fall 2025**, although no exact release date has been confirmed. Fans speculate that the game could drop in October or November, especially since *Borderlands 4*—another Take-Two title—is set for release on September 23, likely ruling out that month for *GTA 6*.

With only months to go before its projected launch window, anticipation for *GTA 6* continues to grow — but the wait isn’t over just yet.
