Warzone Devs Explain Faster TTK on Verdansk in Season 3

The return of Verdansk in *Call of Duty: Warzone* Season 3 has come with a noticeable change—**faster time-to-kill (TTK)**. According to Raven Software game director Pete Actipis, this was an intentional design choice to make the gameplay more exciting and accessible for casual players.

Verdansk was reintroduced on April 3 to celebrate Warzone’s fifth anniversary, featuring a rebuilt map with visual upgrades and quality-of-life improvements. While the map remains faithful to its original version, it now includes elements from later seasons like Metro Station entrances.

Speaking with *IGN*, Actipis confirmed that the faster TTK helps level the playing field, giving newcomers and lower-skilled players a better chance in gunfights. With fewer shots required to eliminate enemies, positioning and reaction time have become even more important.

So far, the devs are happy with the current TTK on Verdansk but will continue to monitor player feedback throughout Season 3. For now, no changes are planned, but this is just the beginning of what’s to come. Actipis also confirmed Verdansk is here to stay, with “some great surprises” on the horizon.
