Pokémon GO Adds Applin and Evolutions in Sweet Discoveries Event Starting April 24
Niantic has announced that *Pokémon GO* will debut the Gen 8 Pokémon **Applin** and its evolutions during the upcoming **Sweet Discoveries** event, running from **April 24 at 10 AM to April 29, 2025, at 8 PM local time**.
New Pokémon Debut
– **Applin** will appear in the wild and through event rewards.
– **Flapple**: Evolve using 200 Applin Candy + 20 Tart Apples.
– **Appletun**: Evolve using 200 Applin Candy + 20 Sweet Apples.
Event Features
– **Wild Apples**: Tapping them may give Sweet/Tart Apples or spawn Applin.
– **Event Bonuses**:
– 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
– Increased chance to find Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet.
– Shiny Delibird, Cherubi, and Skwovet hatch more often from 7 km Eggs.
– Catching Delibird or Skwovet awards extra Berries.
– Increased apple spawns near Mossy Lure Modules.
– ½ Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched via widget.
