Pokémon GO Announces Sparring Partners Raid Day on April 13
Pokémon GO has revealed a new Raid Day event, Sparring Partners, set for April 13, 2025. From 2 pm to 5 pm local time, players will have the opportunity to encounter Mega Heracross, Hariyama, and Scraggy in raids, with the chance of encountering shiny versions of these Fighting-type Pokémon.
In addition to increased raid appearances, the featured Pokémon will gain access to the Charged Attack *Upper Hand*, which has a power of 70 in trainer battles and 50 in raids and gyms. This move also has a chance to lower the opponent’s defense by one stage in trainer battles.
Event bonuses include a Remote Raid Pass limit increase to 20 and up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs. Players can also purchase a $4.99 event ticket, which offers benefits such as eight additional Raid Passes, a boosted chance of Rare Candy XL drops, and double Stardust and 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
For those participating in the free Timed Research, rewards include Stardust and additional bonuses for completing Raid Battles.
Alongside this, *Pokémon GO* will feature other special events this month, including the Spring to Spring event starting on April 9, the debut of Tinkaton on April 16, and Gigantamax Snorlax on April 19.
