Rumor: Unannounced Hogwarts Legacy DLC Canceled Amid Warner Bros. Restructuring
Warner Bros. Games has reportedly cancelled plans for an unannounced *Hogwarts Legacy* DLC, which was expected to release in 2025. The move follows financial difficulties for the publisher, which has faced setbacks with other projects, including *Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions* and *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*.
The canceled DLC, developed in partnership with Rocksteady Studios, was said to include cut content from the base game, including a storyline focused on one of the game’s companions. Additionally, a *Definitive Edition* of *Hogwarts Legacy*, bundling the base game with the DLC, has also been scrapped.
This decision is part of ongoing cost-cutting measures at Warner Bros., which also canceled the *Wonder Woman* game and closed several studios earlier in 2025. Despite this, *Hogwarts Legacy*’s sequel is still in development, with little to suggest that it will be impacted by these recent changes.
