Call of Duty: Warzone* Confirms Return to Verdansk with New Modes and Features for Season 3
Activision has revealed exciting new details for *Call of Duty: Warzone* Season 3, set to launch on April 3, 2025. The highlight of the season will be the return of the Verdansk map, rebuilt from the ground up with updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements while staying true to its original layout.
The new Verdansk will feature a 95% recreation of the original map from *Warzone’s* 2020 launch, including Buy Stations, Points of Interest, and Killstreaks. New elements, such as Metro Station entrances, will also be added to enhance the experience. The goal is to bring back the classic and nostalgic Verdansk that long-time fans loved.
- At launch, players will enjoy several modes on Verdansk, including:
– **Battle Royale:** With up to 150 players.
– **Battle Royale Casual:** A mode for newer players with 148 players, - including 28 bots for a more relaxed experience.
– **Plunder Quads:** Featuring 100 players in a loot-focused mode.
– **Warzone Bootcamp:** A training mode with 12 players and 32 bots.
The **”Return to Verdansk”** event will also kick off with Season 3, offering free rewards like the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle, new operators, and more. Players can explore 12 event-only zones on Verdansk, completing challenges to earn exclusive items such as an operator skin. The event will run until April 15.
Additionally, a **Battle Royale Ranked Play** mode will arrive in a mid-season update, along with new features like Vertical Ascenders and access to the Original Train.
