Fortnite Updates Symbiote Scythe and Symbiote Slasher for All Skins
Fortnite has made a significant update to two of its Venom-inspired weapons: the Symbiote Scythe and Symbiote Slasher. Originally introduced in Chapter 2, these melee weapons are now available for use with any skin in the game, breaking the previous restriction that tied them exclusively to the Venom and Eddie Brock skins.
The update comes as part of Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless, which launched on February 21. This season brings a heist theme, alongside new additions like Sub Zero’s icy battle axes and the Titrationator pickaxe. The changes to the Symbiote Scythe and Symbiote Slasher allow players to wield these powerful symbiote weapons regardless of their chosen outfit, expanding gameplay options for fans of the Venom franchise.
Both weapons were first introduced during Fortnite’s collaboration with Marvel. The Symbiote Slasher debuted in Chapter 2 Season 4, while the Symbiote Scythe was added later in Season 8. Previously, these weapons were exclusive to the Venom and Eddie Brock skins, limiting their use. However, with this update, anyone can now harness the symbiote’s destructive power in battle.
