Pokémon GO Announces Road to Unova Event
Pokémon GO has revealed the Road to Unova event, which will run from February 24 to March 1, 2025. This event is part of the ongoing GO Tour 2025, celebrating the Unova region. The event will feature Unova starter Pokémon and their evolutions in the wild, along with a variety of raids and special in-game tasks.
Before the global event kicks off, in-person activities will be held in Los Angeles and New Taipei from February 21 to 23, where players can enjoy seasonal spawns, Unown attracted by Incense, and Pokémon hatching from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs.
During the Road to Unova event, players can expect one-, three-, and five-star raids, including powerful Pokémon like Reshiram, Zekrom, and special Genesect variants. New 2 km egg spawns, Timed Research, and Field Research tasks will also be available. Additionally, egg hatching distance will be halved, and the Remote Raid Pass limit will be set at 20.
Trainers can unlock additional rewards with the new Pokémon GO Tour Pass. A free pass is available to all players, while a $14.99 deluxe edition includes a Victini encounter. A $4.99 Masterwork Research ticket will mark the debut of shiny Meloetta in the game.
Meanwhile, other events are ongoing, including Legendary Flight (ending February 9), Steeled Resolve (ending February 26), and the Community Day Classic on January 25. The Lunar New Year event will run from January 29 to February 2.
