Rumors of New Astro Bot Content Surface, Including Possible Tekken Crossover
New rumors suggest that Astro Bot could be receiving more post-launch content, including a possible crossover with Tekken. The speculation began after a now-deleted tweet from Arrowhead Studios’ Johan Pilestedt revealed a new poster showing a bot dressed as Tekken antagonist Heihachi.
While there’s no official confirmation yet from Team Asobi, the developer behind Astro Bot, the addition of new characters and levels post-launch seems plausible. Previous DLCs have already brought new characters like Spider-Man and Gex, as well as a speedrun-focused level pack. The Tekken series has deep ties with PlayStation, with Tekken 8 launching last year to much success, and the appearance of Heihachi would be a natural fit for the game.
Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation, but for now, this remains a rumor. If true, it would further expand the beloved platformer that already celebrates PlayStation’s rich history with cameos from iconic mascots.
