Marvel Rivals Reveals Sanctum Sanctorum Map for Season 1
NetEase Games has unveiled the Sanctum Sanctorum map, set to debut in Marvel Rivals with the upcoming launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls on January 10 at 1 AM PST. This map, part of a trio of new locations, will host the game’s new Doom Match mode, where 8-12 players compete in a free-for-all battle, with the top 50% emerging victorious.
In Season 1, Dracula will serve as the main antagonist, with The Fantastic Four joining the fight against his forces. Alongside Sanctum Sanctorum, new maps set in Midtown and Central Park will also be introduced, with Midtown featuring a new convoy mission and Central Park arriving mid-season.
The Sanctum Sanctorum map is filled with quirky details, including floating cookware and bizarre creatures, alongside magical artifacts and winding staircases. Doctor Strange fans will also spot references to the sorcerer’s world, including a portrait of Wong and Doctor Strange’s ghost dog, Bats.
As Doctor Strange faces off against Dracula, The Fantastic Four will lead the defense of New York City, with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman joining the roster at launch. Human Torch and The Thing are expected to arrive later in the season. Fans of the game are eagerly anticipating these exciting new updates.
