Gotham Knights Rumored to Arrive on Nintendo Switch 2
New rumors suggest that Gotham Knights, the 2022 open-world action RPG, may be coming to Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2. Evidence surfaced after a YouTuber discovered a LinkedIn profile of a Polish game developer, who mentioned working on optimizing the game for two “unreleased” platforms. One of these platforms is believed to be the Switch 2, as the game was previously rated for Switch in 2023, but never released.
The Switch 2 is rumored to have entered mass production in late 2024, with an official release potentially set for Q2 2025. While not much is confirmed about the device, other titles already announced for the Switch 2 include My Time at Evershine and Bestiario. Gotham Knights would mark a notable addition to the console’s growing game library.
The game’s past performance issues on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S raise questions about how it will run on Switch 2, but the console’s backward compatibility may make the port easier. Nintendo has yet to officially unveil the Switch 2, with an announcement expected before the end of its fiscal year in March 2025.
