Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai is not retired, still making games
Kirby is the designer of Super Smash Bros, and Kirby continues to work on new games. While many thought the legendary game designer had left the industry after the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, The developer would like to assure fans that there is no time to rest.
In the most recent installment of his YouTube show Creating Games, Sakurai discussed his experience in the game sector. Game developer Sakurai spoke about his experience, reminiscing about his decision to join the game industry at an early age and discussing the current gaming activities
Sakurai revealed to the fans that he’s currently developing games. However, he’ll work with his YouTube channel.
“As for me, I’m still creating games for the time being,” the Smash Bros creator told fans. “But I’m also launching the YouTube channel. I’ve never had the opportunity to do something like this before starting with it, and it’s a bit of a stretch to say that one could argue that I’ve been unable to stay in one place for long.”
For further fan speculation, IGN reports that Sakurai has paired the YouTube clip with an old video from that Super Smash Bros. series. Furthermore, the creator previously stated that Sakurai “can’t imagine a Smash Bros. title without” his involvement.
The legendary game designer also said fans should not be devastated if game designers quit the game industry to pursue new endeavors. Although iconic game designers frequently return, like John Romero releasing new DOOM maps or Fallout creator Tim Cain coming back to play The Outer Worlds 2Instead, they must try to help developers with passions in other areas.
“Aside from those who reach retirement age, there are quite a few people who disappear from the game industry part way through their careers,” Sakurai stated. “Of course, for some of them, it’s simply unclear where they ended up. This isn’t limited to the game industry, but if a creator you know does suddenly vanish without a trace, please don’t write them off as ‘washed up’ or ‘finished!'”
Masahiro Sakurai is believed to be working on the next game in the Super Smash Bros. series to be released on the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2. There is some concern that the next entry of the series won’t have the same quality as the quantity of content in the latest Ultimate game; the high quality of the game and the graphics will surely provide a thrilling experience.
