In the early days of battle royales, Epic Games was ready to move Fortnite in another direction. Assets from the mobile spinoff Fortnite World Explorers are surfacing online.

On December 22, the videogame archiver MrTalida posted details on Twitter regarding a Fortnite mobile spinoff, which began the development process in 2014, three years before the official launch of Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode.

This mobile version was slated to launch as Fortnite World Explorers and would have certain features resembling the game’s first version, Save The World, which was a tower defense-like game.

As per MrTalida’s report, Fortnite World Explorers would feature tiles-based combat, an expanding map for players to battle to extend their territory over the world, as well as a roster of heroes whom they could rally, and a home base system which would likely serve as the central hub of all the features the game will have to offer.

Even though Epic decided, in the end, to carry on the project, the project’s assets made it into other games. MrTalida suggests that most of it was modified to create The RPG Endless World.

Fortnite World Explorers was believed to be converted to Battle Breakers, a now-defunct strategic RPG. The evidence is backed by tangible evidence. Various audio tracks in Battle Breakers refer to Fortnite World Explorers. It is possible that specific resources were reused rather than all being destroyed.

In the end, Fortnite would turn into a global phenomenon. Therefore, it’s fascinating to look back at what the first projects of Epic’s perspective for Fortnite looked at.

In addition, the company isn’t stopping building on the previous Fortnite base, with three new and massive modes being elements of the game to players beginning in Chapter 5 Season 1: LEGO Fortnite is a construction simulation game similar to Minecraft, Fortnite Festival, an electronic rhythm game designed by industry veteran Harmonix as well as Rocket Racing, racing in the arcade style developed by Psyonix.
