GTA 6 should include an expanded jail system, according to fans.
Since seeing one of GTA VI’s protagonists, Lucia, in custody during its trailers, fans have speculated as to whether or not some portion of Lucia’s narrative may take place behind bars in GTA VI.
Now, fans have taken to Reddit in order to discuss this further; one user inspired this conversation by suggesting GTA VI should include an online prison system within its Online mode.
According to these proposals, users could be sent to jail with other players and must either escape from it or pay off fines – an intriguing concept which could add yet another layer to online play seen previously in GTA V.
One respondent stated, “A prison system similar to Star Citizen would be awesome – with an escape mission allowing players to access police systems to remove bounty.” But some users fear this system might get tiring over time and become repetitive; should it work effectively though, players would only face this scenario rarely and be given multiple challenges for breaking out from jail.
Rockstar Games may pushback against this idea, yet many still believe that this strategy could work should they go in this direction; one fan commented “you know I actually think this is an awesome idea it would be fun”. Fans seem worried, however, about GTA VI becoming more like a simulation than an arcade action title they are used to playing.
However, all parties involved agree that seeing Lucia behind bars at the beginning would make an excellent addition. Showing her last day before being released back into Vice City would serve to launch her journey effectively.
