Sony PlayStation Plus’ inaugural free game for January 2024 could prove to be a winner
Just recently, Sony officially confirmed the first free PlayStation Plus game for January 2024 – and it looks incredible.
As is evident this year, PlayStation Plus saw its price increase by roughly one third across all tiers this year. As justification, we saw cloud streaming introduced for premium users as well as Sony Pictures Core catalogue titles available to them; though most subscribers to PlayStation Plus subscribe for its free games feature; something which had previously been lacking slightly.
PlayStation Plus will kick-off 2024 strong according to insider billbil-kun on Twitter’s recent prediction, so let’s hope we get some exciting surprises for that first month or so of 2024.
Billbil-kun has an exceptional track record when it comes to accurately forecasting PlayStation Plus free games; and January 2024 will likely bring No One Saves The World as their debut title. They remain uncertain, however they do believe this prediction.
With an outstanding score of 79 on Metacritic, Nobody Saves The World stands out as an underappreciated dungeon crawler featuring an immersive character transformation system and enjoyable storytelling that makes this title standout from others in its genre.
Soon (i.e. later today (27 December), we should learn what free PlayStation Plus games will be available in January. As an appetizer to that event, enjoy Sable, LEGO 2K Drive and Powerwash Simulator; three unique but equally excellent titles you should definitely explore if still subscribed to PlayStation Plus service.
LEGO 2K Drive is an absolute blast and a childhood fantasy come true, while Powerwash Simulator taps into parts of your mind you never knew existed – some might find the concept for Powerwash Simulator dull but trust me it can be absolutely gripping stuff!
Sable stands out as an extraordinary and thrilling open world experience; we could add up their total value and conclude they clock in at over PS100; in reality though they all provide much more enjoyment and satisfaction than that! I can be as critical of PlayStation Plus as anyone, but trust me: this month was amazing.
