Palia has quickly become one of my go-to games this year – even after just days with it! If you love Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Disney Dreamlight Valley-type life simulation games then Palia should quickly become your new go-to experience!
Palia was developed by Singularity 6 Corporation as an action-adventure RPG featuring farming, exploration, crafting and life simulation elements. With lush environments to explore and an extensive world to live within it all await you: Palia provides the opportunity for crafting, fishing and farming with friends while discovering enchanting adventures filled with colorful characters to unravel! I think its trailer speaks for itself!
Palia is currently available on PC and Nintendo Switch with Steam set to arrive soon – completely free to play, I highly encourage everyone over this holiday season to give Palia a go – you will build and nurture your home/garden while visiting others’ as you discover friends’ creations! I would describe its aesthetics as somewhat Fortnite-meets-Fae Farm; vibrant yet charming is how best I would describe its experience!
Palia offers more than simply cultivating crops; players will need to engage in an investigation: “Unraveling an ancient mystery involves teaming up with other players as you reappear in an alternate reality world together. Befriend local Majiri to gain their trust, learn their histories, build relationships and perhaps even foster romance opportunities!” Yes – romance options exist too, no cosy game should go without romance possibilities!
Palia offers hundreds of craftable items and could become one of the games players spend hours and hours immersed in. Since it’s free, there’s nothing stopping anyone from giving this one a go and seeing where their imagination leads them!
