Fallout is a match for BioShock with BioShock in the popular game Steam
There is already an impressive array of survival games set on oceanic environments available today; as this genre remains highly sought-after by fans of game development and design alike, one cannot have too many survival titles in this niche genre.
Sunkenland is an immersive survival game which initially seems similar to Raft due to your character being submerged by water on all sides. But as soon as you venture deeper you quickly realize this world has seen sea levels rise above buildings taking with them much of its population and their homes.
This post-apocalypse can rarely be seen outside of Kevin Costner films. Here, the water contains remnants of an ancient civilisation in its depths; providing materials and items scavenged for survival at great peril; however when searching, its deep waters will cause discomfort; yet their darkness seems to provide incredible views; these include old power plants or crumbling apartment blocks.
Once you have enough resources at your disposal, building any type of base imaginable becomes possible. From water forts and fortresses to abandoned ship bases or island penthouses – any structure designed to keep yourself fresh while crafting items, farming the land for food production and protecting yourself is necessary for survival in The Division 2.
Sunkenland features the standard survival mechanics as well as crafting options designed to not only keep you alive but defend your base as well. However, battles do break out in Sunkenland like Rust where “fight mutants and pirates, raid enemy atolls for resources, use melee weapons, firearms, explosives to protect yourself while engaging in violent battles on both land and ocean.”
As someone who enjoys survival games like Raft, this new title seems intriguing to me. Constructing and protecting my base against non-player characters adds another level to its genre; I will definitely give this game a go!
