Elder Scrolls Skyrim received an astounding graphics overhaul that looks like an entirely new game experience
Have you been curious what The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would look like with over 2000 mods but are terrified your PC might explode? Well fear no more; one Youtuber has done just that and the game does look stunningly gorgeous without any PC explosion. Spoiler alert: no PC explosion was ever witnessed here – though you should check out one YouTuber who successfully completed his version instead!
Skyrim, published by The Elder Scrolls V in 2011, has been out for well over 10 years, yet we may never see its remastering officially come about. But thanks to a talented modding community such as Digital Dreams’ YouTuber channel’s efforts in doing just this – Skyrim can look as though it were released just last week if modded correctly!
This video offers us an exclusive glimpse of what Skyrim would look like running at 8K using NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation with over 2000 mods installed. While not everyone may be capable of reaching this feat without having their PC sound like it’s struggling, if successful it can transform Skyrim into what looks like an entirely different title!
Digital Dreams used the PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mod which is exclusive to Patreon users; therefore it must be paid for. Further complicating matters, Digital Dreams did not reveal his full list of mods used and instead provided us with Novilus Modlist that “had issues”. We do not know what these 2000 mods entail nor can we predict how he achieved such great end results.
No matter its hiccups, it is evident that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was designed for 8K resolution as the results are breathtaking. Youtuber provided thirteen-minutes of gameplay showing stunning graphics, an improved user interface/menu system and significantly smoother performance – which will appeal to fans looking forward to trying the game for themselves.
As previously reported, some Elder Scrolls fans are upset by rumor reports regarding its development being revealed so early. With over 10 years invested in its creation, fans question an early announcement by Bethesda.
