The Last of Us Online is officially removed from the game
There was a lot of speculation about its launch, Naughty Dog finally shut down the game Last of Us Online and has halted all development on this now-defunct multiplayer experience.
The fans had been aware of the coming TLOU single-player game a while and the list of jobs for 2021 hints at the possibility of it. In the past, Naughty Dog stated that players should wait since development was still in progress.

The blog goes on to say that as the initial concept of the game The Last of Us Online could be evolved, Naughty Dog had to decide whether to pour every resource into The Last of Us Online as they could in order to achieve this goal and turning into a live-services developer similar to Epic Games with Fortnite, or continuing to create AAA single-player experience.
