Call Of Duty devs outraged by the God of War’s 3 hour battle anthem
Call Of Duty developers have expressed outrage and discontent with an opinion on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s campaign at The Game Awards.
The comment that was in question was delivered by Christopher Judge, best known for his role as God Of War himself Kratos.
Judge was invited to the stage for the presentation of the prize for Best Performance. It went to Baldur’s Gate 3 actor Neil Newbon for his role in the role of Astarion. When the award was handed out, Judge gave a small speech that included funny banter as well as a brief sharp, yet painful remark about the most recent Call Of Duty game.
When referring to the 8-minute speech that he delivered at the Game Awards event, Judge declared: “I’m not going to stand up here, making long speeches. I’m going to stick to the script. No eight-minute speech like last year … But fun fact, my speech was actually longer than this year’s Call of Duty campaign.”
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is regarded to be among the most frustrating Call Of Duty games to be released to in the series, with the campaign becoming a source of stress for players due to it being said to last for three hoursg. The supposed aim of the campaign was playful fun with COD’s apologies however has become a source of outrage in the online world, and Call Of Duty developers have condemned Christopher Judge for the remark on twitter the aftermath of deleted Tweets.
“Honestly, as Call of Duty developers, we’ve heard way worse … But we don’t expect it from a peer, at an event that is supposed to be celebrating this year’s achievements in gaming.”
“‘funny’ but yeah the metrics that CoD absolutely destroys all of the God Of War games (probably combined tbh) it is also equally laughable (if not more)”
“Imagine having short user engagement once your game is consumed… can’t relate.”
If Christopher Judge will choose his remarks carefully the next time around is a different matter, but it’s highly unlikely given that the comedian laughed at his joke, saying “another organization I’ll never ever work for…”
