PlayStation Plus looks set to get a shooter with AAA specs in 2023
PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass often provide a platform for games to be given a brand-new renewal. Some games that have failed or received low reviews made gamers turn away from the titles they are able to play without financial cost.
The discussion is currently underway about bringing Immortals of Aveum which is an action game with a magical element for the PlayStation Plus platform. PlayStation Plus; A game that, initially looked fantastic but had a few issues and resulted in the development team losing their jobs.
Bret Robbins, a former Call of Duty developer, has told Windows Central that subscriptions offer studios a “wider funnel” and that the launch of Immortals for PlayStation Plus could lead to more players. Also, he said conversations are in progress, saying “Yes, we are talking to them about getting the game onto both of those services. We don’t have a date yet, I’m pretty sure it’s gonna happen, though,” In reference to Game Pass as well.
If asked if he believes that the launch in the busy years of 2023 may result in a deficiency of sales, he said, “100 per cent”. This isn’t a surprise. Every game that came out this year was likely to fail while competing against titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. “I’ve never seen a year like this,” Robbins stated.
If he was asked if it was possible to release the game Immortals directly on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus could have helped the game, he responded “To be truthful, I don’t know. I’m not sure if it could have been better or not.” The decision was the company’s to decide. Let’s hope that the game finds another chance by launching through PlayStation Plus where it may be able to reach the players it was hoping for.
