Starfield’s chief game designer, Will Shen, has revealed that he will be departing Bethesda to join the studio Something Wicked Games. In the studio, he’ll join other veteran designers from Bioware as well as Obsidian.

As part of his work with Bethesda Bethesda, he was in charge of several of the game’s most thrilling adventures. Additionally, he worked on various Bethesda titles prior to the release of Fallout 3. Shen has stated that his new job will “bridge the gap between the studio’s narrative and design teams.”

Shen said, “I think one of the things that makes triple-A role-playing games really come together is when it feels like the game has some kind of singular direction.” The rumors suggest Shen will remain in the open-world genres of RPGs. Something Weird’s first title is expected to consist of Wyrdsong, an RPG that blends “dark fantasy settings with real-world myths and historical horrors.”
