Fans of Assassin’s Cleared 2 agree that the game is ‘aged as good wine’
Assassin’s Creed II has aged quite well, according to players. Many of them stated that it still works across the board in all areas.
It’s like Assassin’s Creed is getting its arc back because of the most recent game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which takes the franchise back to its origins. These RPG games, though adequate, didn’t attract the vast majority of gamers, which led to the series shifting the game’s gameplay around stealth and real murders.
However, the players still feel that the high point of the series was. They always will be the Assassin’s Creed 2 game because of its fantastic open universe, the best story ever written in the world of gaming, and, most importantly, Ezio, everyone’s most loved character.
One user, named RavenPhoenix__, on Reddit wrote his praises for the game, which was in the direction of other fans who hold it with high regard almost 15 years after its launch.
The players said: “I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed II, and I’m compelled to admit that the game is maturing like the best wines. … Its towns are all very atmospheric and precise for this time. Also, I’m amazed at the amount of people Florence has. Even though the battles have aged the longest, it’s enjoyable and rewarding to pull from combination moves. The music is amazing ******* excellent, truly an excellent score. It’s regret how far Ubisoft has lost its way.”
Others agreed, stating that although the game is evidently older in certain places, it’s an awful lot better than the sequels and spinoffs that followed.
“I am a new player in ACII after having completed Mirage, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I am awed by its combat system compared to Mirage. According to me, I think that it’s actually better with ACII.”
“Man, this is a very timely post. I just recently completed the trophy that AC2 awarded to Platinum, an absolutely fantastic game.”
“I revisited the game in the year 2020 for the first time since its launch and was amazed at the quality of it. I tried the PS4 Remaster, and I must say it did not feel older than I had thought it could.”
The next Assassin’s Creed game might try to be able to rival the success of “Assassin’s Creed II” and Assassin’s Creed III; I’ll be amazed by how few games can stand the same level as Ubisoft’s work.
