The new Red Dead Redemption update adds 60 FPS.
Many were unhappy with the August remake (or “conversion,” according to Rockstar called the word) of Red Dead Redemption. The expectations were very high following the year that saw Red Dead Redemption 2 launch in a world that was full of fantastic attention to detail, and the hopes of Red Dead Redemption 3 seemed ever more thrilling with each passing year.
All that changed by the end of 2023. The announcement that the game was initially released in 2010 was to be re-released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The discussion focused on the graphics appearing to be primarily unaltered and multiplayer wholly removed. This outrage only increased after it was discovered that the port was running with a low-quality 30 FPS. This was all at the absurdly expensive cost of $49.99 and PS39.99.
Even though it is free to download the iconic Undead Nightmare DLC, fans are steadfast in disapproving. The original developer Rockstar and the studio that developed Double Eleven’s porting Double Eleven, have been paying attention since the latest 1.03 update added an option that has been awaited for ages to switch between 60 and 60 FPS.
Does the Red Dead Redemption Remaster have 60 FPS?
The process couldn’t be more straightforward (game development is never easy). However, it appears that an effort has been taken to add sixty FPS for Red Dead Remaster. Red Dead Redemption remaster. It’s a good thing I’m hoping Rockstar is also planning to release an updated version of the 5th anniversary of RDR2 in only a couple of months!
Rockstar has incorporated all feedback received from players. This price appears more justified in the present!
The odd thing is that 60 FPS doesn’t exist for primary PS4 and Nintendo Switch players. The developers don’t know if they are planning to make the feature open to everyone at some point. However, for the moment, at present, it’s better than none.
However, ultimately, it’s up to the players to decide whether or not this game will be worth PS39.99.
