Call of Duty has titles set to launch in 2027
The Call of Duty franchise commemorates its 20th anniversary through the debut of Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 3. For the occasion, Sledgehammer Games has remastered each of the 16 maps used in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, sending gamers on a journey through time.
Before this weekend’s Call of Duty Next Event, many people are eager to see what this beta offers and Sledgehammer Games can provide another dose of high-speed action.
As everyone’s eyes focus on the moment when it’s time for players to get into Modern Warfare 3, Activision has announced that they have plans for the future Call of Duty titles in position until 2027 at most.
Call of Duty titles to begin to roll out in 2027
In an interview with Venture Beat, Activision president Rob Kostich has put any doubts about the future of Call of Duty to.
Kostich says: “Right now, we have games planned out through ’27 for the things we’re working on.” As well as revealing development on the following four Call of Duty titles is in progress, Kostich revealed Activision is home to 3,000 developers currently working on the hugely successful first-person shooter.
Kostich remained tight-lipped for any details on what the next Call of Duty titles will have. However, he believes that the future of Call of Duty is promising. “I think we’ve done a lot of games in the future. We probably went as fast as we possibly could. We made some of the games in the past. You start seeing the sweet spot over time and what resonates with the community.”
This Modern Warfare and Black Ops series may have been going on for a while. Naturally, we’ll need to wait until the official announcements to determine what Activision plans to release.
